About the Carers’CARE Mobile App Project
The Carers’CARE App project is dedicated to the development and evaluation of a mobile phone App to support people looking after a family member or friend with dementia.
The Carers’CARE project is a collaboration between Dementia Australia Tasmania, Carers Tasmania and the University of Tasmania. The project was developed with input from dementia carers in the community and experts in dementia and carer services, psychology and computing.
We are seeking carers over the age of 18, who live in Australia and who care for a family member (spouse/partner, parent, other family member) or friend with dementia to be involved in The Carers’CARE Mobile App research project.
To sign up for the Carers’CARE mobile app research project, you must be a family or spouse carer, or caring for a friend, and reside in Australia.
Note: Please allow around 15 to 30 minutes to complete the registration process.
Energy Explorer: A Serious Game for Energy Conservation
- I agree to take part in the research study named above.
- I have read and understood the Information Sheet for this study.
- The nature and possible effects of the study have been explained to me.
- I understand that the study involves downloading a mobile game, playing the game as much as I like, completing a survey on my experience, and will involve the use of my smart meter data, and my in-game actions will be recorded
- I understand that participation involves the no foreseeable risks.
- I understand that all research data will be securely stored on the CSRIO and University of Tasmania premises for five years from the publication of the study results, and will then be destroyed.
- Any questions that I have asked have been answered to my satisfaction.
- I understand that the researcher(s) will maintain confidentiality and that any information I supply to the researcher(s) will be used only for the purposes of the research.
- I understand that the results of the study will be published so that I cannot be identified as a participant.
- I understand that my participation is voluntary and that I may withdraw at any time without any effect.
If I so wish, I may request that any data I have supplied be withdrawn from the research until END DATE subject to approval. I understand that the use of my smart meter data is subject to the terms of the RBEES project.
Statement by Investigator
I have explained the project and the implications of participation in it to this volunteer and I believe that the consent is informed and that he/she understands the implications of participation.
The participant has received the Information Sheet where my details have been provided so participants have had the opportunity to contact me prior to consenting to participate in this project.
